About Leaders Among Us

Who Should Apply?

Application
The Leaders Among Us Program provides an opportunity for AASU to help prepare our highly skilled and motivated leaders to meet the challenges of our campus's changing environment. Participants will gain practical insight, knowledge, skills and confidence desirable for leadership effectiveness.

Program Goal: The goal of the Leaders Among Us Program is share with members of the AASU community, information, perspectives and skills helpful to assuming formal and informal leadership roles.

Program Objectives: Develop knowledge about the university and our various roles in the institution. Explore individual styles and group dynamics of leadership in the university setting. Build a sense of community for the benefit of AASU students and employees.

Who should apply: All full time employees of AASU are eligible to apply. Applicants should have demonstrated initiative and should serve (or have ambitions to serve) in a leadership capacity on or off campus. In addition, the applicant must be a full time employee, in good standing with at least six months of service and an individual seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Successful applicants must have the approval of their department head or immediate supervisor.
